Birthday Week

I recently got a lovely birthday rak from a very lovely lady in one of my Facebook groups. Do I decided to use the goodies she sent. Because many of my days aren't very occupied, this was another week I got to decorate heavily! I love my washi and stickers! Hehe!

I used the card she made me in between the pages and attached extra tabs for later. Also used her envelope to store the leftover goodies just in case I needed more color coding and such. Some more of those gradation memo sheets like the ones I used last week for added writing and reminders! Added a homemade paint search page marker and viola!

As you can see, my birthday us coming up as well as my son's and my due date! So much to celebrate! Yay!

Memorial Day Bentos

Simple and significant. I'll keep it short since I'm using my phone. But here's a look at what the kids had yesterday.

Mexican Blend Quesadilla flags, homemade Mexican Rice, Black Beans, a Sweet Pepper, and Jello.

A tribute and thank you to ask the men and women who gave and give their lives to ensuring we can even make these meals for our children. You are remembered and we are grateful.

Planner Pages, Thus Far

Hey Everyone!

Yes I know I've been MIA the last few WEEKS. I'm SOOO sorry! I've been working on my Etsy shop a lot and getting that going along with regular Full-Time mommy duties has taken up the majority of my time. I should also report that there is no baby yet! This one looks like he's in for the long haul like his older siblings were. But I do have about a week left so we'll see.

I think I'll take this time to post my planner pages here and then my bentos on another. So here's what we've got so far. I am working on Next week's pages but they're not finished yet. Those will be posted soon. I'm excited to do so, as next week is my BIRTHDAY week! As well as my Son's (new baby is due on his birthday!) So very important week next week ^_^

I fell in LOVE with my planner pages 2 weeks ago.
I'm actually vey much in love with the Shabby Chic look and this Color Scheme has been my fave for a bit now. I week ended up filling out a little more and I left room for that. Those tabs on the days are there to add any extra tones. Aren't they GORGEOUS! My Mommy Dearest sent these to me for my shop but I couldn't help using some for myself >_<

Apologies

Hey, Everyone!

There have been a few small postable events I'd like to share with y'all. But my internet is down and I bam loath to use my phone if I can help it to make a decently lengthened post. So I do apologize for the delay. I'm hoping to resume regular posts very soon.

With that said, I loom forward to adding a few FiloHACKs as well as announce the opening of my small Etsy store, once I get it up and running. Stay tuned, friends! And stay inspired!

This Week's Planner Pages: Minnie Mouse

Hi there, Everyone!

I almost forgot to post this pic. I recently got a shipment in of new washi tapes. I had already decorated this week but was feeling a little disappointed in it. I went back and used a little of my new washi, some more stickers, and a Project Life journaling card I got from a lovely friend in one of my facebook RAK groups. I was much happier with the result this time around.

Super Quick Bento

Hey, All!

Sorry for the lack of posting. Just haven't had much to post about lately. Things are going pretty slowly. I did get to make the kids a really quick bento today so I'll be sharing that. Not much else to report so I won't bore you with the uneventful.

Planner Pages Week Jump

Hi, All!

Thought I'd share some pics of my newly decorated planner pages. Since I've been looking into the Project Life style of scrapbooking and receiving some very lovely RAK (random acts of kindness) mail containing tons of little embellishments and cards and such, my creative juices have been flowing in all things paper craft. I couldn't contain myself and I went ahead and decorated my pages for the first week of May. I'd been trying to go a week at a time so that I don't end up with nothing to do, but I just had to break out the washi, and stickers and go to work.

Fresher, Easier, and Healthier Bentos in our Easylunchboxes

Hi there!

Back into the bento mood! But if you remember, last week I did a bento a day in honor of Easter. So lots of bunnies, and lots for cuteness, AND lots and LOTS of sugar. I figured the kids could use a nice, fresh, and cleansing lunch to help us all get back into a healthier mindset.

This Week's Pages and Some New Decorations

Hi, Everyone!

Just sharing some of my planner dec. As you can see, I went Hello Kitty on this week. Not much to do, I always end up with a pile of things at the end of each week. I do have an OB appointment tomorrow/ today so I'll be in town running the errands after that. We live too far from everything. I added a little Earthy inspirational card from my old stock of scrapbooking pages for Earth Day. My creative fingers have been itching to jump ahead to the week after next. But I'm keeping myself from it so I have something to do next week haha!

Catching Up and RAKs

Hey, Everyone!

So sorry for the silence and the chaos the last couple of days. Easter was a crazy adventure! So now I'm starting to get back into the swing of things. Let's see, what's been going on?

Well Easter Sunday I was up at 7 to start on making quiche for the first time in my life! They actually came out pretty well and they were delicious! I can thank Pinterest, yet again, for helping me provide a top meal. Haha! That didn't stop Daddy from grilling some very tasty BBQ chicken. I also made our famous Macaroni Salad and Potato Salad. The kids got their baskets, which they loved because this awesome mommy know's what they like. And I was back to preparing for the day that was still up in the air. I got dolled up, got the kids dressed, and made hubs put on a decent shirt, and we had a photoshoot outside in between torrents of rain.

Final Easter Bento

Easter kicked my butt, y'all!

But the kids had a blast so it was all worth it! Sorry for the late post. Crashed before I could get these lunches shared on here. Looks like some we've got some gate crashers at the Easter Bunny Club Party! Can you spot the impostors? It's ok, everyone's welcome! Hope y'all had safe and blessed Easter celebrations!

Stay inspired!

Day 4 of Bento-A-Day Easter Edition: Bunny Onigiri!!!

 Hey, All!

Still keeping up with the Plan! I took this idea from one of my previous bentos! I ran out of bread so no sammies. But that doesn't stop this momma! I rarely get to do much detail work for the kids' bentos so I tend to stick with sandwiches and quick meals. But I had an itch to get artistic with this one.

Happy Mommy Mail!!!

Hi, again!

Ok last one for the night, I think! So I mentioned earlier that I got a box of Mommy Happy Mail. Well there were several fun things in it. Tons of bento supplies that I left behind, Easter stuff, and a bunch of craft supplies I'd accumulated during my stay there. Well she also included some extra goodies for my new planner!

Bento-A-Day Easter Edition: Day 3 PLUS BentoUSA Easter Contest Link!

Hi, friends!

I'm still keeping up with my Bento-a-day plan! Woohoo! Had to do a little extra thinking on these considering I was doing the designing on the fly. M's was by request and I had to use my ingenuity to get it done. But we were all pleased with the outcome. Considering that most of my Easter themed bentos have been bunny-esque in nature, I went with chicks this time.

Week Peek: A Glance at the Next Couple of Weeks Before they're Filled Up

Hi, again!

So I mentioned that I took the night off from blogging last night. Only to occupy it with decorating in my planner. Haha! I had a nice little mini haul from a my day in town so I put some of my finds to work. I don't think I'm done with these pages, but I don't really want to touch them too much as I tend to get ahead of myself and have nothing left to do when a craft itch hits later on.

Mini FiloHaul PLUS a quick DIY Idea

Hey, Everyone!

I decided to take a little break last night from the blog as I was very tired and actually got sleepy hours before I normally do. I still managed some pics of my mini haul from our day in town. But I didn't quite feel up to posting. As you may have read in my last post, Bento-A-Day Easter Edition Day 1 and 2, M had a doctor's appointment and I had packed a bento for her and everything as we'd be in town a few hours. The day went very nicely, I even got to pick up the last of the kids' Easter basket fillers! I'll share pics of that too, I think. Well I also picked out a few things to add to my ever growing stationery stash for my little Day Runner.

Bento-a-Day Easter Edition: Day 1 and 2

Hi There!

Doing a few things at once here: Updating the blog, doing my nails, filling in my planner, watching Fish Hooks... don't judge me. Anyway, I have decided to try and do a bento a day for the kids in honor of Easter. This is kind of an event for me because I don't always get to prepare a bento everyday for them. But I'm really going to just get off my butt and do this. So far, the week is going pretty well.

I'd been seeing a lot of Bunny Butts all over Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook so I can't take credit for this idea. But I did try my hand at it. I like how it turned out and my IG friends seemed to enjoy it as well. Bubba actually ate this sandwich, which is a victory for me because he's only just started like sandwiches.

My Planner Pages: This Week's Getting Full

 Hey, All!!!

Just thought I'd share a few snaps of this week's pages. If you remember from my post, My Planner This Week, Next Week, and Some Fun Finds, I has some blank areas in some of my days. Well those filled in quickly and I realized I had to add some Lists and Reminders. So I broke out my Hello Kitty notepads, glued them back to back on an index card, punched, and inserted. I will be able to use this new little insert several times for different weeks because I just slapped some sticky notes on each side. I love my brain sometimes. Anyway, here's how much my week has filled out so far.

I washi taped a cute Eastery Hello Kitty graphic from off the packaging that came on the packaging of the notepad set. That was the only hint that this was an Easter set which I like because I can use everything in the set over and over.

My Planner Makeover PLUS Another Dollar Tree FiloHack: Mini Clothespin Bookmarks

Hi there, Friends!

So I was brainstorming this afternoon and I was thinking that maybe I could take my Day Runner's customization up a notch. If you remember from my post, At Last! My Planner is Here!!!, my Mommy Dearest sent me a Day Runner in some Happy Mail. You may also have seen from my DIY Dividers post, DIY Planner Tabbed Dividers How-To, that I had some scrap card stock left from making my own tabbed dividers from large binder dividers. Since the cover to my planner is mostly clear and the original design can be pulled right out, I went ahead and just replaced front and back with measured and cut scraps of card stock.

Here you can kinda see how it tuned out.

Dollar Tree FiloHack: Dot Stickers and more!

Hi everyone!

So, I'd been looking at the cute Martha Stewart Home Office™ with Avery™ Collection for stationery that might be handy in my new planner. I see that a lot of people go with the Color-Coding Tear Drops. I must say, I do like them. However, I don't really want to pay over $4 for them...

But looking through my own large collection of scrapbooking stickers, I found this awesome booklet from dollar tree! It comes with dots, flowers, corners, and so much more! I can go back to the store and pick up 4 of these bad boys for the price of one Martha Stewart! Hope you head there too!

Easylunchboxes Gone Fishing!

Hey y'all!

So it was so nice and warm today! I'm loving Spring so far. Well I figured it was the perfect day to take the kids out on their FIRST fishing trip. Well, we'd taken Daughter fishing with us, but she was too little to actually do much more than just sit in the stroller. Anyway, a friend of ours (Uncly Ty we'll call him) let us go out on his pond and cast a few lines. He's always up for fishing. I figured, why not pack a lunch for the kids and make a little day of it. So here's what we took to the pond.

The kids have got little fishy jelly sammies with candy eyes. The picks in the mini marshmallows are supposed to represent fishing poles. I couldn't find any pull apart twizzlers to make the fishing line. Will have to stock up and hide them. They go fast in this house. Haha!

My Planner Pages: This Week, Next Week, and Some Fun Finds! PLUS a little FiloHack

Hi there!

If you don't already know, I got my planner this week. I got it in the middle of the week, so my first shot at planning pages I'm using as a kind of practice run. So I got to start with Thursday. That was actually the only day this week that had specific dates and times to really focus on. But There's still time to add more.

I took this pic during the car ride to the Dr. What looks like stains or dark marks, is just shadows from the windshield. Sorry about that. It's pretty simple because I did this right before I had to take off for my 32 week OB appointment.

DIY Planner Tabbed Dividers How-to

Hi again!

So in my last post, At Last My Planner is Here! Including Review (kinda) I told you that I just received my very own planner! Well now that I've got it, I can't wait to start decorating and customizing it. I am all for frugality, DIY, recycling, upcycling, and all other cycling you can do to pinch a penny. Well I'm sharing my ingenuity with you tonight. How would you like to make your own custom planner tabbed dividers easily and cheaply? I surprised myself at how easy it was!

At Last! My Planner is Here!!! Including a review (kinda)

Hey there!

So, if you've been keeping up, I've been waiting forever for my Mommy Dearest's package to come in the mail. Well it did today!!! Hooray! Well in it, along with tons of bento things I had acquired while I visited her, she included a planner she had found at a discount store! She wouldn't tell me much about it. She loves to surprise me and I love surprises so that works for me.

But I was getting antsy because the snail mail took forever delivering the box! Well now I've got it and I can finally start up on my new obsession. Something I've been calling, FAUXlofaxing. It's a mashup of the word faux and filofax. If you don't know what a Filofax is, well it's like the Louie Vuitton of planners. Well Louie Vuitton has it's own planners too... but you know what I mean! Anyway, I'll be keeping and decorating a planner. It's a thing. Look it up. Why not an actual Filofax? Look that up. Not in my price range right now.

So here it is. The planner my Mommy Dearest sent me! I hope you don't mind clicking through. I included brief descriptions of each picture.
Click full screen then single click the image to view the description.

MORE Baby Things!!!

Hi, My Friends!

So earlier today, I had a nice vent (as you can see here in Trying is Trying). I was still in feisty mood for a good portion of the day. But I managed to keep my head and heart lifted and in tune with the Spirit. Doing this while I made dinner, I could feel the healing Power of the Lord calm my spirit and speak to my heart. By the time dinner was done, I was in a much more pleasant mood.

Trying is trying

Hi, friends.

Just a post to vent so that I can pray and give it all to the Lord. I guess I'm just frustrated with people trying to push their issues at me and my family. It's not my lack of caring that makes me prone to distance, it's the great love for my family and desire for my own sanity that I try and stay as drama free as I can. I've already got my own neuroses and anxiety to deal with. I don't need anyone tring to force me into their problems.

I am praying for patience and peace. And the Lord has blessed me with high tolerance for ignorance. Now I can pray for forgiveness for my short temper and for my angry thoughts. I also ask the Lord to bless the other party for He knows their heart and it is He who ultimately judges them.

Amen. Stay inspired, friends.

Tiny Things that Overflow the Heart

Hi there!

So I've been reflecting on a couple of things the past weekend. I thought I'd share. I wonder how many other parents feel these things. Last week, hubs and I came home late from a day in town running errands. The kids got to stay home with Grandma. This is routine except for the lateness. I was rushing around trying to get things put up and start dinner. While I was doing some washing up and dashing back and forth from the fridge to the sink to the stove, Daughter walks into the kitchen and says, "You doing a really good job, mommy." I had to stop a second and blink away the swell of tears that flooded my eyes. Not safe next to a hot stove either btw.

A Froggy Snack Sammie

 Hi, All!

Dinner was made late tonight (chicken pot pie) so I decided to give M a little snack while Bubba was napping. She asked for a Froggy jelly sandwich. So here's what we got. Strawberry jelly CuteZcute pretty frog sandwich. Addes a little broccoli and some light canned peaches for some balance. She ate her sandwich in record time. Peaches were demolished too. Only broccoli was left, which is odd because she usually eats that too. But I'm not complaining. M is eating all her sandwiches with little coaxing!!! She also topped off some chicken that I had shredded for her earlier but couldn't finish. So I'm a pretty happy mommy right now.

Baby Things

Hey All!

Not much to report tonight. I think I'm pretty much caught up with all my posts. Was having a bleh kind of day today. So it was kinda of easy going. Hubs made dinner tonight so that took a little of the load off. I did help him start the enrollment process for school. He's already graduated his vocational classes and is moving on to his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering!!! Woohoo!!! I'm actually very proud of him for working so hard.

Additionally, the new addition to the family is getting closer and closer to arrival. According to the What to Expect When You're Expecting Android App, I'm 32 weeks and 1 day into the pregnancy. 7 more weeks and some days to go. That's actually not that far off. So my mommy dearest has been working on Baby G's first picture outfit.

Doll Craft Beginnings

Hello, My Friends

Let me welcome you to the first ever Dollhouse/Doll Craft/All things Doll post. I have mentioned in my About Me page that I've taken up dollhouse crafting. So here's a picture log of what's been going on. I'll keep it brief and let the pics do the talking for the most part.

Meet Bigfoot Barbie. Sorry about the blurry pic. This was Daughter's very first ever Barbie doll. Daddy bought this for her because she was begging for one. At the time, it was a surprise because I had yet to expose her to much in regards to fashion dolls. She was actually much more into dinosaurs and things. Anyway, daddy went and bought this Teresa doll. She's from the Beach Party Collection. I have to tell you, this is all she came with. Oh there was a visor. Sorry. But that's it. She's a very pretty doll, but I thought the lack of clothing was a bit inappropriate for a not-yet-three-year-old. Because it was so late and it's a long drive back to town where I might find Barbie clothes, I fashioned her some covering using an old lonely mitten. Thus, begins our doll crafting story...

IMPORTANT NOTE!!! She is named Big Foot Barbie (changed from Barefoot Barbie) because the Beach Party line of dolls all have very large, very flat, and very un-shoe-able feet... (not shown above). Cue an alternate reason for taking up the doll crafts. There are very little shoes to be found for these dolls...

Lovely Sushi and Tofu Bento

Hi again!

I thought I'd post this set of pics separate from the other older ones just because I love this bento so much. I happen to adore this bento box and rarely find use for it. It's actually a salad container but I absolutely love the inner compartment that's supposed to be for salad dressing. It comes with it's own lid that snuggly secures liquidy things apart from the rest of the box to keep things crisp and not-soggy.

Bento Backlog (again)

Ok sooo....

I accidentally deleted this post... I can't remember what all was said... Argh I'm so mad at myself. But luckily I decided to do a Slideshow for all the pics. So that was easy to replace. I'm sure I gave you a briefing on what's been going on so far.

Here are a few of the lunches that I've done over the last few months. It's not all of them but I am including those in other posts slowly but surely. Sorry for all the downtime and delay.

Holiday Themed Bento

Hello again, Friends!

Well here's a post that includes a few recent lunches. I tried to arrange them in my Slideshow so that the most recent roll first. I've only done a couple Easter/ Springtime bentos recently. But I shall be doing more as the holiday draws nearer. I hope you enjoy the other holiday themes as well. I even included my "Talk Like a Pirate Day" themed lunches.

Character Themed Bento

Hi, Everyone!

Here I am, updating again. I decided to categorize some of my lunches so that they were a bit more specific. I hope these give you some ideas for your own lunches. Again, I've gone with a Slideshow approach as it just makes it easier and takes up less space. Less scrolling for us all, you know.

My Neighbor Totoro Bento

 Hi there!!!

So I'm not even going to try and put these up in a Slideshow. I just love this bento so much and I want you to know a little more about it. If you can't tell, it's a My Neighbor Totoro themed bento. I'm not just a big fan of all things Studio Ghibli, but this film holds a very special place in my heart. I grew up watching it back when Fox held the dubbing rights to it. I can't stand the Fanning version. Not even sorry to say that. But I dedicated this bento to my family back home. Every part of it holds some significance to the movie.

If you've watched the movie, you can see that this bento box is strikingly similar to the box that Mei uses. Her sister makes her lunch in a tiny red bento. I couldn't find a single tier that was similar but I found a use for the second tier, which is apparent from the pictures.

Bento Gear Update

Hey again!

Over the last few months, I've accumulated quite a formidable collection of bento gear. But can a girl really have enough? Seriously? Well I'm always on the lookout for a bargain. Especially when that bargain is bento related. So here's a Slideshow of some of the stuff that's been added to my collection. Some of it has made an appearance in my current bentos. Yet, others are still awaiting their debut. But all in good time, my pretties. All in good time.

Trying to Catch Up

Hey all!

I know I've been neglecting my page. I'm trying to catch up. Just know that I've got quite a few drafts pending and they'll be up very soon. I hope the knowledge of multiple recent posts is incentive enough to get you to come back haha! As you may know, I like to mainly keep my posts filled with lovely pictures so you don't have to do excessive reading. Well this post is all reading.

I do apologize. My laptop had been out of commission for a good long while before I was able to get it fixed. I had to wait til I went to visit my folks to have it sent out as I live too far away from a Best Buy for it to be practical to drive to and froe. That's another reason for my neglected blog: I've been visiting my family. I packed up the kids and had a nice long stay. It was lovely and therapeutic. I don't get to visit family but once a year and I missed my mommy.

Let the FAUXlofaxing Begin (A Haul Post)

Yes, I know it's not really a word. I'm sure I made it up. Oh well. For those of you who don't know what a Filofax is, quite simply, it's a planner. Google can emphasize better than I. But I am now immersing myself in stationery, paper crafts, and all things planner. I currently do not own a planner. I've been on the look out for one. The Filofax is out of my price range. But I did get the tip off that my very wonderful mommy will be sending me one in the mail (along with tons of other goodies no doubt ^_^) and I'm starting to stock up on fun things and looking into thrifty way to personalize my planner.

Here's a little of what's in stock:

A small storage container filling up with pretty things
