Dinner was made late tonight (chicken pot pie) so I decided to give M a little snack while Bubba was napping. She asked for a Froggy jelly sandwich. So here's what we got. Strawberry jelly CuteZcute pretty frog sandwich. Addes a little broccoli and some light canned peaches for some balance. She ate her sandwich in record time. Peaches were demolished too. Only broccoli was left, which is odd because she usually eats that too. But I'm not complaining. M is eating all her sandwiches with little coaxing!!! She also topped off some chicken that I had shredded for her earlier but couldn't finish. So I'm a pretty happy mommy right now.
I'm lucky because my kids love green beans, bell peppers, onions, and other foods that most kids find yucky. But I do have trouble getting them to eat things like tacos, sandwiches, and burritos. I think it's the idea that they can't really see the all the contents. Bubba has issues with sandwiches as well but he's figuring out that mommy won't give him yucky foods. He might not scarf down a chicken club, but he'll annihilate a some sweet snap peas or sweet peppers. Go figure.
What do y'all find hard to convince your tots to try? I'm curious to see if I've got the only bizarre veggie eaters on the planet.
Well this was a pretty simple lunch. We love our CuteZcute cutter we got from All Things For Sale. Have a great night! Stay inspired!!!
